My neighbor had to take their dog to the vet recently because it got really sick from eating some grapes. It’s very important that dog owners know exactly what foods they must never give their dog. Here’s a basic list.

Chocolate
If you have ever heard that you will kill your dog by giving it chocolate, then you heard correct. Some of the things that they contain, such as caffeine, can be very toxic. They will work by having an affect on both the nervous system of your pooch, as well as his heart. Overall, chocolate is one of the main things that you should not give your dog. This also goes for coffee.

Pork/Ham
Although your dog may love pork and ham, it is really something that you should avoid giving him. It can have many negative effects on his digestive tract. You will probably notice that your dog will have diarrhea if he eats pork or ham, or he might even vomit with blood.

Grapes
Most dogs love to play with grapes. It is okay if your dog does not eat them, but only plays until he gets tired with them. Giving your dog grapes to eat is really something that you should avoid. The reason is because, due to a toxin that they contain, they are known to cause damage or even failure to the kidneys. Keep in mind that this also counts for raisins too.

Bones
Although you have always heard of people giving their dogs bones, this is something that you will really want to avoid doing. You will especially want to avoid giving your dog bones from poultry sources, such as chicken. The main reason is because they can cause splintering or other types of damage to the digestive system.

Onions
Both onions and garlic contain things which can have an affect on the red blood cells, and ultimately cause your dog to become anemic. This is especially true when it is eaten in large quantities. Overall, giving your dog onions is something that you will just want to avoid doing.

Hey all! SO SORRY I’VE MISSED EVERYONE FOR SEVERAL DAYS NOW! A lot has happened, so many people passing away… but this shouldn’t be any excuse for me not being able to write to everyone!

My apologies, always things happen and you know I REALLY WISH! that I could just make dogs my #1 priority to write about, learn about, and teach about… unfortunately this dumb thing called MONEY! green pieces of paper revolves around us.

So anywho, today I wanted to recap everyone on dogs and their foods, treats, eating habits, and much more. So my Bambi officially turned 1 year old so I had to switch him to eating puppy food to adult food. I know I said “Royal Canine” was great to feed your pups, but you know they are extremely pricey for the little amount that they provide to you. If you are rich and can afford it, it’s awesome! But I don’t get to walk in the hall of “RICH” everyday so I prefer to stick to nutro ultra. I got the small breed kind because Bambi is only 7 pounds fully grown. Cute huh? =)

So moving on with dog treats, I found some more healthy treats for your dog, I mentioned Nyla-bones right? They are an excellent source of “teeth cleaning” for your dog. It may not reduce bad breath, and trust me, it doesn’t, but! it decreases plaque and icky stuff on your pups teeth. Once your pups teeth start turning YELLOW, that means you must brush them, clean them, rinse their mouth. How you may ask? There are toothpastes and toothbrushes for dogs for different sized dogs. Bambi as you know is petite so I buy the smallest brush they have as well as soft because since he is a smaller breed, his gums are a lot more sensitive than larger breeds. So I will upload a picture of the toothbrush and toothpaste I purchased for him =) Just a reminder, the first picture are for medium bred dogs and the second picture are for the smaller breeds under 20lbs.

The second picture in the red coloring is a special toothbrush made for smaller breds only because you can put the toothbrush onto one of your fingers and gentley brush away without harming your dog. Now, please keep in mind, bleeding of the gums isn’t bad but just like us humans, it does hurt for them as well so try not to brush so hard and brush one direction not two because that WILL cause the gums to bleed.

Now, I will shortly post some new interesting and fun posts! Hope to see you all back soon! Give hugs and kisses to your adorable babies!

Until later~ ….. =)

I’m not sure if everyone knows about dog and chicken bones! I suggest that you do not feed them chicken bones! At least give them as treats once in a LONG while. But of course every dog’s body is different. Do not feed chicken bones too often. Yes, its a common misconception that Dogs CAN eat chicken bones since they can handle the bones in their digestive systems or what not, but it is not safe! The bones can be sharp and can ruin their stomach or worse dogs can choke on them. I have seen many cases where dogs choke on chicken bones and have seen many medical problems with dogs that eat a lot of chicken bones! Some say that it is safe for them to eat, but I suggest feeding them larger bones such as beef bones.

Here are some nice chicken bone alternatives:
Greenies - My bambi loves them and greenies are good for dogs teeth

Nylabone - If your dog must have chicken and is spoiled, here’s a good alternative. They have Nylabone chicken flavored. Theyre chicken flavored nylabone that your dog would absolutely love!

And of course the good old chew toy, and larger beef bones for dogs =)

Well, that’s it for today. Have a great Night! or Morning!

Hey everyone! How is everyone doing? I hope mighty well! I’m almost all healed up and ready to go back out into the world (lol), my flu is almost gone and I’m feeling so so much better!

So today, I wanted to write about dogs and chocolate. I know for us, we absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! chocolates! Who doesn’t right? Unless you are allergic to them (sorry to those that are), but for us that aren’t, MMM! YUM!

Enough with our chocolate droolings, chocolates not all that healthy for us, but its EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY for our DOGS! (pets in general!) Those of you who find yourself feeding your dogs or pets chocolate, PLEASE STOP! RIGHT AWAY! =(

It can kill your dog!

PLEASE keep in mind that the kinds of food we eat, majority of it, almost ALL OF IT is not good for your pets. EXCEPTIONS!! Unless you keep your dog(s) on an organic feeding diet from the start. That should be the only exception, no others, absolutely NOT!

There is a chemical in chocolates called therobromine. Please click the link I have pasted below to read more information about exactly who it can kill your dog. Before clicking, KEEP IN MIND: dogs have totally different digestive systems than humans. (Which is why if you are feeding your dogs organics, which means human foods mainly, you should have started since they were a small puppy, and not when they are a year old or so.) This might sound contradicting, but it is true. If you do not understand, please feel free to research it more on google, or feel free to ask me and I will be more than happy to help you understand the differences between feeding your dog(s) organics since they were puppies and from when they are older. (Please, whatever I write is just for your entertainment, I am not trying to make any criticisms towards anyone or anything. I want to provide everyone excellent sources of information as much as I can.)

That above is the link to provide you great information on dogs and chocolates.
Please take the time to review it. Thank you again for stopping by! See you all soon!! =D

Hey everyone, I have important news I must share with yall.

To start, I did extensive research on puppy and dog food today!
I went into Petsmart AND Petco(The two LARGEST stores for pets know in the U.S.), and I found out there are foods much much better than Nutro Ultra!
Yes, can you believe that? Now let me correct my previous posting about dog food..

Nutro Ultra is a great brand of food, but I learned that some other brands are great too! It really is just your preference like I mentioned before in my earlier dog food post. I will also give you some tips on the pricing of them =)

Brands that I found out that are excellent for your dogs health, I actually read each and single one of these bags ingredients~ Please scroll below to find out more about which brands are excellent sources of health for your puppy and dog(s).

My favorite choice after studying was Royal Canin
for indoor pups… which I am starting to feed my Bambi.

Royal Canin (they have many different chioces to your preference available) – pretty pricey for the little amount but #1 on my list =)
Nutro Ultra
Purina Pro Plan – price is decent for what you get
Eukanuba – price is decent for what you get

So in my opinion those three brands are great for your dog(s).
It’s like us eating rice one day, salad one day, bread one day, meat one day, tofu one day, and all these nutrients, I’m amazed on how much dog food has improven over the past years. Makes me happy =D

I hope this tip helps you decide on which food you should feed your dog(s).

Note: This is only my opinion and suggestion, you may feed your dog(s) whatever you would like.
Please read more of my disclaimer. Thank you!! =D

Hi there! So I’m starting to feel much better, but still a little on the cloudy side.

Anywho, I wanted to write to everyone about vitamins specifically for dogs.
So if you would like to feed your dog vitamins, this is the easiest way possible.
It’s something called Nutri-Cal. There are many different kinds of Nutri-Cals, but
believe me, they all work the same, and do have same kinds of ingredients in it.

Below is a picture of the one I got when I first got my Bambi. Bambi actually wasn’t
eating and immediately I needed some form of supplement that could help him get
all his nutrients that dog foods have so I got Nutri-Cal and fed him three times a day.

This product really works, and yes Vets do recommend it as a great source of vitamins
for your dog(s).

If your dog is eating fine and healthy everyday, please do not feed this to them EVERYDAY,
it will be TOO much and may cause them to vomit or go diarrhea, but do feed it to them
twice a week, just sqweeze a small pinky nail size out into their mouth and let them just
lick it of their mouth/tongue. Or you may want to put in on your finger and feed it to them,
but keep in mind that our fingers have a lot of germs and bacteria that our dogs do not need.
(of course everything has germs and bacteria, but preventing it as much as possible would be
best.)

The only reason why I specifically recommended Nutri-Cal is because other vitamins come
in capsules, liquids, and all sorts of different kinds that your dog will not like as well as have
a hard time having them eat it. Nutri-Cal is a Gel like form, it can get messy like you see in the
picture above, but you can always clean it off =)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this vitamin works! It will work! =)

Hi there!

I hope everyones doing well! I actually caught this nasty virus flu and it’s making my days really slow and not so upbeat =( But on the bright side, I wanted to write about a pet food called “Science Diet”. I know a lot of people out there seem to buy it for their pets and the pets do not have any problems eating it. Well from experience, not only from having dogs as pets, but I’ve had cats as well, science diet seemed to make my pets get really sick and ill. In the long run, they would have digestive system problems, heart problems, and a lot more health issues than anyone can imagine as well as AFFORD!

Yes, they do advertise a lot, why? and how? Well whoever is in their “marketing” department did a really good job by taking the brand of food to the vets and selling it there. 95% of the vets that I have been to, they have Science Diet, also known as “the hills” food on their shelves. They always tend to market it big, when they themselves know that is not the best food out there for our pets. Who knows, for some pets it might be really healthy, but just from my experience, I’d never switch back to it.

The vets do make a percentage profit from having Science Diet on their shelves and selling it. Most people think as soon as they walk into the vet, “Oh it must be healthy and an excellent brand because it’s sitting here at the vet, I’m sure the vet knows best.” Well you cannot always trust doctors right? Even with us humans, some surgeries, operations, tests, and such can go wrong.. same with pets.

Now like I mentioned before, don’t take my word for it, this is just from experience.

I don’t like the brand myself, and would not feed it to my pets but for some people that do, I only suggest that you get them off it as soon as possible and switch to something much healthier.

Yes, I do feed my dog beneful which is like us eating chips, but please keep in mind I ONLY put a PINCH of it in because for an example: It would be like us eating regular lettuce without dressing or any other vegetables, just lettuce by itself. So putting a pinch of beneful is my way of putting a little bit of dressing on my salad.

Now if you have any questions related to any of my posts, please feel free to leave me a comment and I will reply back as soon as possible. Have a great one!

Hi there! I know I said in my previous post that I would post more about treats, but how boring, two similar posts in a row right? So I decided to write about organic eating for your dog(s).
Raw Meat – Any raw muscle meat will work, I feed turkey hamburger because of price but normal hamburger is also just as good. (Of course steak is WOW!)

A raw egg 3 to 5 times per week (with the shell) – DO NOT FEED THEM BOILED OR COOKED EGGS!!
Turkey necks, chicken necks or chicken backs, Chopped Veggie pulp (carrots, cauliflower, celery, green beans etc), Kelp and alfalfa – the fine powdered type, Powdered vitamin C, Essential Fatty Acids , Cod liver oil, Salmon oil OMEGA 3 – VERY IMPORTANT EVER DAY, Flaxseed oil, Glucosamine Powder (99% pure), Vitamin E – EXTREMELY IMPORTANT – YOUR DOG MUST HAVE THIS !!!!

If you have any questions, I’d be more than happy to answer them.
There’s a comment box on your right hand side, please leave me a comment, and I will
reply back as soon as I can.

I hope by me taking the time to write everyday, that it will help my readers out there
with information, as well as keep you all entertained.

I will write more about organic foods and organic feedings for your dog when I do come across learning more myself.

Thanks for reading!! Come back again soon!

Hey everyone! Sorry I missed you yesterday on the 15th, it was the last day of TAX deadline and it was such a hectic day, but no excuses! My apologies~

So in todays post, I wanted to write about dog treats.
I have 7 different kinds of dog treats that I feed my dog.
He loves all of them, but I do not feed him treats everyday.
There are different kinds of dog treats… varies upon what types of treats you would like to feed your dog. There are treats for training, pleasure, vitamins, dental, joints, digestive system, and I am sure there are more that I have not listed that I cannot think of right off the top of my head.

Usually 98% of the times, the treats say bold and clear what kind of treat it is.
I have posted some pictures below where I found the treats to be very helpful with training, as well as different dogs likings. I’ve met with over 50 different dogs at a near by dog park around my house and I always take treats (if the owners are okay with it) I feed treats to the other dogs as a treat with commands and such. Please feel free to buy them and try them out, Petsmart is usually really good about exchanging your purchase (with receipt) if your dog is not happy with something or even yourself.

So those are some of the treats I have, I couldn’t find the pictures to some that I have, but my all time favorite, only because my dog seems to LOVE it, it’s his #1 favorite! As well as it being “ALL NATURAL”, what better than natural right? It’s 100% Beef Liver, for training & pleasure, awesome awesome! The picture is below and all that for $20 dollars, is a bit on the high end but it’s Natural and there’s literately 1,000 pieces or something in the tub.

They come in tiny cubes, easy for your dog to eat. NOTE: It’s high in protein and LOW in fat!!

I hope you enjoyed todays post about treats! I will be writing more about different kinds of treats tomorrow!
